Trudy Clarke – Managing Director
Trudy Clarke

Trudy Clarke the Registered Manager started Homecare with her husband Kim Clarke on 7th February 1992.
She has a long history in the care industry, starting as a volunteer when she was just 14 in the geriatric ward at Scarsdale Hospital – Trudy’s caring nature is what spurred her on to start her own business. Trudy’s own experiences and disabilities have given her an insight and empathy towards others and has given her the ambition to provide and promote independence to people who wish to remain at home.
Trudy’s family have all played a part in the business and all three of her children work for the company alongside her and her Husband Kim Clarke – Family Values are very important to Trudy as she was taught from a very early age from her Maltese Grandmother that if the foundations of family are strong, everything good will follow.
Trudy firmly believes to treat others as you would wish to be treated – with great respect and care – this has ensured that the care she offers is a Service User led care.
Sometimes achieving the unachievable by working and thinking outside the box can offer greater rewards.

Kim Clarke – Managing Director
Kim Clarke

Going back to the first conversation with Trudy in late 1991 – Kim saw the enthusiasm that was being created and gave his 100% support to the foundation of Homecare in February 1992 – originally working at Robinsons & Sons since 1971 – Kim saw that as the business grew he would be needed to move into a full time role at Homecare where he be responsible for the Payroll and the running of the finances.
His role now is to help and support all departments of the company and is now concentrating on developing Homecare’s new minibus service.

Zoe Clarke – General Manager
Zoe Clarke

As young as 8 Zoe would answer enquiries on Homecare’s behalf when the business was run at home, on leaving school Zoe was unsure on what career she wanted to go into but was involved with Volunteering for FairPlay – a disabled children’s centre – she found this highly rewarding and this shaped the future that Zoe would go into caring for other people.
Zoe worked for 3 years as a carer but from a young age has helped her mum through her renal failure, the transplant and latterly through her mum losing her eyesight, from these experiences  she strongly believes in treating people the way in which you would like to be treated, she has gained invaluable experience to take her into today’s role as General Manager of the company working closely with Trudy Clarke learning from her 37 years of experience, and hopefully one day becoming the lead name in Homecare D&D Ltd.

Matthew Turner – Clarke – Office Manager
Matthew Turner-Clarke

Matthew has always been a part of Homecare going back to 1992 but only came to work for them in November 2008 – to bring forward his skills in IT, Networking and Management.
Matthew has also taken on a caring role, to enable him to learn the practical role of a carer – this put together with his IT and Management skills provides a good base to be responsible as an Office Manager.

Zoe Woods – I.T & Payroll

In 2001 Zoe Richards came to homecare as a trainee from STL – she learned her role alongside Kim Clarke and now is Homecare’s sole employee who works on all Homecare’s invoicing, wages and contracts – Zoe has grown up alongside the company and is an important and valued member of the team. Zoe’s straight forward talking and sense of humour is always evident in the office, and at a click of a button can answer any enquiry from Service Users, Staff Members or Care Managers.

Paul Buxton – Training & Development Officer
Paul Buxton

Paul’s role within the company has changed from being a carer in 2002, to then working alongside Zoe Clarke as part of a double up team, to Team Leader and then reforming the partnership with Zoe Clarke in contracts and then in November 2009 to being appointed Homecare’s training and development manager.
Within the near future, it is with hope that Paul will finish his qualifications and be responsible for all the training delivered at Homecare.

Joan Davenport – Care Co - ordinator

Joan Davenport

Joan Davenport and her sister Pat Richardson are the longest serving employees at Homecare, in 1994 the sisters were working at Robinsons and Sons, they were persuaded to go back into the caring industry of which they had experience in. Joan and Pat worked on a double up team for a number of years until 2005 – Joan became part of the management team, co-ordinating calls and Pat remained as a carer.
Joan’s caring loving nature has stood her in good stead and she has been at the forefront of promoting the care that Homecare are renowned for.
